Bees Nest Under Siding

Bees can be annoying or even hazardous to us when they build their home near our own home.

If bees are making nests in your walls or attic you may find dead bees in windowsills or near doors. It would be hard to get a spray in there as i don t think it would go deep enough due to gravity. They build their homes under your porch eaves and cracks in your walls. Spray the exit and entrance openings of the nest for one minute until the areas are thoroughly soaked. These nests may contain hundreds of workers and they have the ability and an attitude to sting many times. Control should proceed with caution.

Bees will usually sequester themselves away in overhangs cracks window and door frames and under siding basically anywhere they can build a cozy nest. They also use this form of communication to tell each other where food is located. They are not easily controlled especially after they have established a large nest under the siding of the house. If possible mark off any entrance holes you find so that you can easily identify them later. Locate the entrance through which the bees are entering your siding. If you don t care about that chloroform will kill them nicely without removing the siding. Another way of destroying the nest is to squirt dishwashing liquid into the end of your hose pipe and run the water until suds appear.

Move the spray in widening circles around the nest walls. Buzzing noises in the wall. Wait a day and check the nest for activity again.
